点评：It was a rainy few days in late June when we visited the park to camp, hike and bike. It was raining when we arrived so we drove to the over looks in the park waiting for it to stop. It was a Sunday around 2:00 and the place was empty. We saw maybe one or two other cars at any overlook we stopped at. The park is pretty, but in need of some work. The overlooks are very overgrown. You can't even see the bridge noted in an overlook information plaque. We decided to do the Sunset trail at Lookout Point and regretted it. It was very overgrown and slippery because of the rain. If it were dry it would probably be better. We ended up hiking every trail except Bittersweet and Deer. After trudging through waist high plants on Pine and Twin Sisters we decided to ride part of the Great River Trail. The bike path was very flat and had some great opportunities to turn off into the wildlife reserve. The campground is huge. We had site 111 at the very end of the road. It was a typical IL state park with very little shade from trees. The interesting thing was the sites in these hilly fields that seeded on top of each other. I assume you either drive in the field or carry your things from your car.???The campground was basically empty except for a few scattered RVs and a few tents. Decent shower house with flush toilets. I wouldn't return, but not because it was terrible...there are just so many places to see.
