点评:Really awful, dangerous and life threatening restaurant experience. My husband has a shellfish allergy. When ordering the food we told the waiter of his allergy and went through all of our dish choices to ensure they were shellfish free. We stressed there can’t be any shellfish a multiple times.
When one of the dishes came, my mother in law noticed the dumplings the waiter had advised us to order had prawns in them! We received prawn dumplings!!
When we complained about this, one of the owners said there can be cross contamination. Cross contamination is one thing, giving someone who has a shellfish allergy a prawn dish is quite another.
To our horror the way we were treated was beyond awful. The owner said ‘have you never made a mistake?’ ‘We work under pressure and these things can happen.’
As a restaurateur it is your primary duty to look after your guests, I stressed that this is not a mistake that can ever happen because if my husband was the one to have taken a bite, the outcome could have been very different, it is as serious as life and death.
We were offered a bottle of water on the house! How SHAMEFUL!
The main thing we really wanted to get across is how serious this is, so many people die from food allergies, and to say it was a ‘mistake’ and shrug it off and not show any real remorse is horrendous. If he had bitten into this dumpling I would dread to think what the consequences could have been, this is not a ‘mistake’ that should EVER happen.
