点评：I tried the place where the original Deep Dish Pizza was created the night before I came here, so I kept rolling the odds. This is the original Aurelio’s location. My girlfriend and I walked inside here and we were immediately seated into a nice, private booth. I really enjoyed how it was on the darker side in this place. The design here was very welcoming and soothing. This to me, is what a classic Pizza place should be!
I ordered a Diet soda and we got the Old Fashioned to share. The diet included free refills. It was delightful. The Old Fashioned is on the Aurelio’s Cocktails list. It has Bourbon poured over ice. It was pretty dang strong, so not one of my favorite cocktails, but it was crafted well.
We ordered a Small Aurelio’s Italian Antipasto Salad and a Medium Thin Crust Pizza with Sausage & Pepperoni, also labeled as the number 12. The Salad had iceberg and romaine lettuce topped with ham, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, green & black olives, sweet red peppers & pepperoncini. It also included bread. The Small is recommended for 2-3 people.
The Salad came out really fast. It was definitely a good portion size. Everything in the Salad, which had so many toppings, flowed together so smoothly! This was definitely a good warmer for us until the Pizza came out. The bread was good as well! The Pizza arrived very hot and nicely prepared. It was neat and cut appropriately. The sauce made the Pizza to me! I enjoyed every bite I had, but that sauce had me munching with no ending. It was hard to quit. I almost knocked the whole Medium out by myself to be honest. That’s saying a lot, because it is a good size for two people I’d say.
The service was speedy and prompt. Our waitress had a good attitude and checked on us frequently. I didn’t have a single issue. They even had a helper who boxed what was left for us. He had a good attitude as well.
Overall, the ambiance to the food to the service is the perfect flow here. I didn’t have an issue during the duration of my visit. The sauce is king, so best believe I’ll be back!
