It's really 3 experiences in one: the NPS visitor center and factory buildings; the homes of the historic company town neighborhood, and the Historic Pullman Foundation's museum. The three complement each other to help tell the story of this interesting and multi-faceted place.
Preservation work is ongoing, and new acquisitions are in progress, so be sure to check ahead for visiting times. Be aware that it's a partnership between the National Park Service, the State of Illinois, and the City of Chicago, so ownership and "who does which tour" depends on where you are within the area.
Wear walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
