点评：We are from Chicago and have traveled to many southern states looking for this exact dining experience that was less than 30 minutes from home. The southern food here was better than places in Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky and Louisiana.
Street parking: extremely difficult to come by. Paid street parking a block away near Walgreens.
Handicapped accessible for most part. Had to ask about an ADA friendly bathroom upstairs as all other facilities are down a big flight of stairs
No smoking
Indoor and outdoor seating available
Looked and felt clean and safe
There was not a changing table in basement bathroom, maybe it is somewhere else
Table styles: high tops, regular tables and bar. Can accommodate small or large parties. Iron chair are snug so might need to change out with another available chair or stool
Service: slightly stiff. Didn’t find them friendly or unfriendly. No one recommended anything or asked how we liked it. They did refill drinks often however.
What did we order: fried chicken 8pc, mac n cheese, crab dip with cajun chips, deviled eggs, biscuits, mashed potatoes and beans and rice. Three sweet teas and beignets
Feedback on Food: crab dip was great but bread or something other than the chips would match better. They both seemed good on their own but odd together. Honey was like thin, spicy agave not standard honey. Could have used butter for biscuits.
Chicken was seasoned perfect and juicy.
Restaurant decor was adorable and fitting. It was retro, modern and fun.
Other notes: the wait staff made us wait three minutes longer to order because the menu switched from brunch to dinner. It was awkward so we kept talking to one another at the table until he said, “okay you can order now” I guess it has to do with their small kitchen space and clean up. Not a big deal just was interesting.
Would I come back: in the summer yes, winter no
