A Hidden Riverside Gem in Udawalawe – Perfect for Couples and Business Travelers Alike

点评：We stayed one night at Kottawatta River Bank Resort and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. Our accommodation was a beautifully designed luxury tent featuring an open-air bathroom with a bathtub—perfectly suited for a romantic getaway. Though I was on a business trip, I still appreciated and enjoyed the unique and relaxing atmosphere.
The property includes a swimming pool and a separate restaurant. While the menu is somewhat limited, the food quality was very good. The hotel also organizes safari tours to Udawalawe National Park, which is a great option for leisure travelers (I didn’t take part due to work commitments).
One point to note: the hotel does not provide driver quarters. However, even our hired driver was able to easily find nearby accommodation through the hotel’s assistance.
Overall, it was a delightful experience. I would definitely return when visiting the Udawalawe or Ambilipitiya area—whether for work or leisure. Highly recommended for couples looking for a romantic, nature-connected stay.
