点评:We dined at Vincenzo on the recommendation of a friend. The restaurant is located in a strip mall. I'd describe it as more of a "deli" type feel rather than fine dining. There is fake brick on the walls and even though it is a small space, the tables are nicely separated. The atmosphere would be improved by better lighting and some music.
Our party of four was served water and a basket of warm bread served with olive oil and salt and pepper. My friend asked for balsamic vinegar, but the server said they don't do that.
We ordered a bottle of J Lohr Chardonnay, but the owner upsold us to a bottle of Italian white wine which he said was similar to Chardonnay,,,it wasn't It wasn't terrible, but I should have trusted my gut and stayed with my original order.
The owner described two specials. There was a large party behind me and I didn't catch all of what he said. I asked him to repeat them, and he did, but he was pretty irritated with me.
Two of us ordered salads. When they arrived they looked fresh and the tomatoes were ripe and juicy. My partner asked if he could have some, so I divided my salad with him. When the owner saw that he came to the table and said if I'd ordered it to share I should have said so. Kind of a snarky comment.
All four of us ordered pasta dishes. We were underwhelmed at best. The pasta was pasty and the sauces lacked flavor. The portion size seemed small for the price ($23 for spaghetti with chopped shrimp) and my dish had maybe 4-5 capers in the sauce.
We did not order dessert.
