点评：This rating is an average of the 5 stars I would award for the ice cream and selection of treats and the 1 star I would give for service.
The ice cream we chose in our group of five included sea salt caramel (declared to be best of that flavor ever tasted), biscoff, blueberry cheesecake, cookies and cream, and buckeye (which was only chocolate with not one buckeye pieces, sadly). The texture was creamy and thick, and the ice cream was definitely freshly made. Do be prepared to pay slightly higher than average prices for the privilege of real ice cream. We did not enjoy any of the other scrumptious chocolate and fudge selections on this trip since we originally planned to return the next day for those.
Unfortunately, this was the only place on the island that we did not experience southern hospitality and a friendly atmosphere, even when we were attempting friendly interaction ourselves. At 3 on a Wednesday afternoon it wasn’t busy at all, yet there was no welcome of any type, and it seemed an inconvenience to the young girl working the ice cream counter that we were there. We waited five minutes without being acknowledged, and the response to our request to order was raised eyebrows. She also snapped at my husband when he repeated a request that had gone unanswered and then only spoke to barely audibly mumble the total before walking away from the register and card reader. Literally no other communication was given. Sadly, the ice cream cups and cones were all very messy and filled with unequal amounts; it just seemed that the employee did not want to be there and did not want us to be there (or those waiting behind us).
I do understand how hard it is to find and keep quality employees; and I try to extend a lot of understanding. However, this experience definitely prevented me from choosing to return the next few days when we were ready for a treat, and we found excellent service in many other places.
