点评:I’m a massive fan of this restaurant and the other dining options that the Pappas family offers. You will never leave this place hungry.
I’m going to break my tradition and still give Pappasito’s Cantina 5 stars, BUT even getting into the parking lot is ridiculous. Then the parking is an additional mess. Whoever designed this location should never be allowed near an architectural table again.
Once inside, almost everything was phenomenal. The chips and salsa are on the short list for the best in the city. The chips are warm, crisp, and tasty. The salsa has a wonderful flavor, but it's too runny. Our group tried the queso fundido and the traditional queso dip. Both were outstanding.
Our group tried several items, including the Baja shrimp tacos, the Carnitas fajitas, the Brochette-style shrimp, steak fajitas, and all the sides, such as rice and beans, guacamole, and Pico de Gallo. Everything was exceptional except that the carnitas should have been cooked a little longer to develop a nice, flavorful crust on some of the pieces.
For dessert, the Cajetas or Coconut pecan-crusted vanilla ice cream, drizzled with cajeta sauce, was incredible.
We go here regularly, and we will surely be back soon.
