点评:My wife and I ate at the West Cobb restaurant on 6/23/24. We each ordered a salad, entree and diet coke. After the drinks and salad were served my wife changed her mind and decided she wanted a glass of wine instead of the diet coke and I took my wife's diet coke to drink as my refill. We finished our meal and received our bill for $75.73. We were charged for 2 diet cokes, and I asked our server to remove one of the diet cokes from our bill pointing out that my wife had ordered a glass of wine, and I drank the diet coke she had initially ordered as my refill. He stated that since the diet coke was ordered and delivered to the table he could not remove it from our bill. I was a bit shocked by his response and asked that he check with his manager. The manager said the same thing that since the diet coke had been ordered and was delivered to the table that he couldn't remove it from our bill. I told him I just wanted to be clear on the restaurant's policy. A customer changes her order from a $2.99 diet coke to a $14 glass of wine. She did not drink the diet coke but her husband drank it in place of the refill he was entitled to. The restaurant is not out any product and the customer's bill is over $75 for two people. He is willing to lose a customer over a $2.99 diet coke that probably cost the restaurant no more than 50 cents. He reiterated that was the restaurant's policy. My wife and I are both in our mid 70's and there was never an argument or anything that either side said or did to cause animosity between us. The restaurant just stuck doggedly to it's policy and the amount was so small I knew I could offset it with my tip. I usually tip 20% of the pretax bill which in this case would have been $14.30. We will not be back to this restaurant. The food was average, and this restaurant obviously does not value us as customers.
