点评：We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express nearby and wanted some comfort food. We were in Germany in November and weren't interested in Bavarian food plus most of the locally owned restaurants feel they have to penalize those who use credit cards:
Note: This restaurant does NOT charge a credit card fee. Those that do are lowering the demand for those who use credit cards. Credit card users tend to spend more and tip better. When a fee is charged for this “convenience”, many people will go elsewhere, spend less, or even deduct the fee from their usual tip amount, which only hurts their hard working staff!. Since most of these places are not chain restaurants, they are only hurting themselves and their employees with these fees. Please charge fair prices to all based on your costs, including inflation, but don’t penalize your best clients with an “inconvenience” surcharge fee. For those that do, it’s time for an Economics lesson!
We arrived just after their annual Holiday party was wrapping up! (ha ha) Usually, they are open from early morning to evening, but this day, they closed from 4 to 6! Kelly was our very welcoming, friendly server. I hope she had a safe trip to Virginia and back for the relative's funeral. She took great, attentive care of us and the other tables. She gave everyone a candy cane. We gave ours to the grandsons the next day! We both drank unsweet tea. It's amazing how much restaurants are upcharging drinks these days! My country fried steak was a little overdone and very crunchy but still tasty. Other half really enjoyed the chopped steak dinner. All was good, the bathroom was clean enough, and we said our good byes and walked back to our hotel. In summary, if back in Helen, we would definitely dine here again...and just hope that Kelly is there with her friendly welcoming ways!
