点评:Wow, where did this come from? Here we were minding our business and someone told us we must try out Epic. What a recommendation. Fantastic food and even better service. The menu is structured as an event - or a book. Preface, Chapter One, Two and the finale (or Index), dessert. Each plate is creatively designed with a focus on how foods blend and accent. We preceded the Preface with a cheese board and a butcher board. Beautifully presented on 3 inch stained and carved wood blocks with a dizzying assortment of cheeses and meats (including iberico ham), and jams, mustards all beautifully arranged. Cocktails were delicious and the wine selection was extensive without breaking the bank. The space is ‘warm sleek’ - you knew you were somewhere special! Our waitress was lovely and attentive. The preface - shrimp carpacio was a fresh palate warmup for our salads and main courses. My compressed watermelon salad was beautifully presented and delicious with the whipped feta and hibiscus vinaigrette. The crab topped salmon entrees for Chapter II was substantial and fresh. And i loved the Lemon Meringue Verrine. We had one vegetarian and the restaurant is so geared to that cuisine that she received her own menu. This restaurant deserves more recognition and is easily number one in Columbus if not all of Georgia.
