Scenic Boat Tour的点评
点评：We had a fabulous morning in Winter Park thanks to a recommend from some good friends of ours. There is free parking adjacent to the dock and lasts for 4 hrs. The boats tend to run on the hour, every hour, and as we arrived we spotted the boat just departing and us expecting to half to wait almost an hour. We needn’t have worried as the very kind chap in the ticket office said that if a few more people arrived they would launch the next boat within 10 mins, which they did! Our skipper for the hour long trip was David, who I’ve got to say was extremely professional. He must have done this hundreds of times as his delivery was ‘on point’ as we were told numerous interesting facts about the area, nature and the enormous affluent properties that line the waterfront. As a builder myself it was so interesting to see an array of buildings, some old, some new, some relatively modest and some the size of hotels! Each had an interesting story attached to it and yet they never divulged the names of celebrities that currently reside within, albeit David did admit it was only a handful. He did inform us of a few that no longer lived there, again interesting in itself along with a keep up with the Joneses tail of the largest property on the lake soon to be outdone, and how by some 20,000 sq ft. The trip is very calm so don’t be afraid those who suffer motion sickness when on boats. It takes you through tiny man made canals that link the huge lakes and as mentioned above there is indeed much wealth around the area. Great trip and nice way to spend an hour, highly recommended,
