点评：This is absolutely the best Mexican restaurant in all of Central Florida. I travel a lot, and in every city I visit, from Tampa to Orlando to Jacksonville, I check out the highest rated Mexican restaurants and look for places with awesome margaritas. Las Carretas is the best of the best. I have visited their Gainesville location countless times and this Winter Park location three times.
The food always looks and tastes fresh - what you see in the photos on the website is exactly what you get. My mom LOVES the fajitas and quesadilla. I often order the barria tacos and chicken tortilla soup, as well as al pastor tacos (occasionally). The barria is among the best I've had anywhere, and I've never had a better soup - so many vegetables, so fresh, and tons of chicken. Also, the nachos are the best I've had anywhere - cheesy with fresh ingredients. My mom also raved about the nachos. And OMG, the salsa bar... they have a walk-up salsa station, which is kept super clean, in which you can choose from multiple freshly made salsas, from mild to hot.
Saving the best for last... the margaritas! Holy crap, the speciality margs are unparalleled anywhere - so smooth and strong yet tasty. Yet again, so fresh! I always order the Spicy Mexican with jalapeños. The tamarindo rim paste is unlike any rim I've had elsewhere, and I can't get enough of it.
