I was only interested in a light dinner. Onion soup and a Caesar salad (with extra anchovies). My “extra anchovies” were four tiny slivers of anchovy served atop a plate of none-too-fresh romaine, an along with a few croutons slathered with some kind of a dressing. The Onion soup was watery. No body at all. Note to the chef: Perhaps using some good quality beef stock, caramelizing the onions slowly, adding a bay leaf or two, and adding some sherry might help you to deliver a palatable soup?
My friend had a petite filet with a baked potato. Bearnaise sauce on the side. He said that his “medium” steak was dry. That means that it was cooked more to medium-well. Not good for a steakhouse.
We both drank soft drinks.
Total bill before tip was $104 and change. Ridiculous for what we ate, especially given the poor quality of the food.
Service was very good and attentive so we left a very nice tip. If we were to have tipped the chef, we would have been far less generous!
Time to look for another steakhouse!
