I regret dining at Giovanni's Main Street Kitchen. The food was awful, and the experience left me questioning their safety practices. We ordered pizza, eggplant, French Onion Soup, and Tiramisu dessert, and every item was a disappointment. The pizza was overly greasy and lacked flavor, the eggplant was mushy and poorly seasoned, the French Onion Soup tasted off and seemed old, and the Tiramisu was stale and unappetizing.
After our visit, I came across a health inspection report that made the experience even more unsettling. The report highlighted severe violations, including:
1. High Priority - Ready-to-eat foods marked with dates exceeding 7 days: Homemade tomato sauce and onion soup were found past their safe consumption dates, resulting in a Stop Sale order.
2. Stop Sale issued due to unsafe food conditions:
Foods were deemed unsafe and unwholesome, a clear threat to public safety.
3. Improper temperature control:
Soup was being held at only 120°F, far below the required 135°F for safety. Although reheated during the inspection, this is unacceptable.
These are serious violations that indicate a disregard for food safety and customer well-being. I strongly advise against dining here until they improve their standards. The combination of bad food and health code violations is simply unacceptable. Save your time, money, and health by avoiding this place!
