点评:Nice looking busy restaurant, pretty people, nice bar, tablecloths. Its set back across the street from the ocean in a residential neighborhood. Based on everything I saw and read this should have been a great experience.
However, the food is not up to par with any quality italian restaurant with these sort of food and prices. I know that the location in Vero Beach is expensive for rent however there isn't any reason to have such poorly made dishes.
I had the veal scallopini, tough unfloured precooked veal, finished with a slice of prosciutto, an old sage leaf, and a handful of stringy mozzarella finished in some demi glaze sauce on top of some spaghetti, microwaved to melt it together Anyone that has ever eaten this dish at an authentic italian restaurant, ever seen a recipe for this classic Roman delight will not recognize what this is supposed to be and be extremely disappointed.
My wife had carbonara which was made with some poor quality smoky bacon not pancetta and tasted like they had used all the bacon fat in the place in this flavorless greasy dish which went uneaten.
The waitress when asked at the beginning what dishes were great had no idea as she said she wasn't familiar with italian food. Evidently neither the owners or the chef.
On a positive note the place looks like a great place for happy hour with some old school wealthy Vero folks.
