Good food, clean restaurant, but service was lacking
The View At Colony West的点评
点评：A friend and I had lunch on April 16th at The View. Neither of us had ever been here before. Here’s the good and the bad. We arrived at about 1 PM, and we noticed that the restaurant was busy. However, there were a few tables available.
I asked my friend to choose our table, and I was going to sit in one of the seats that looked extra cushioned. (Two seats are regular chairs, and two look to be more comfortable.). But before I sat, thankfully I noticed that something wet and sticky had been spilled on the cushion!
So I sat in the other chair, that didn’t have the extra cushioning.
I asked the server if he could clean up the messy chair, and he said he would, but he never did. When he gave us menus, we asked about specials, but he said there weren’t any. He neglected to point out that a certain item on the menu is no longer being served, and of course that was the exact item I had set my sights on! I chose another item,
the short-rib grilled cheese sandwich. I wasn’t sorry - my food was delicious! My friend had a burger, which she told me was “just OK, nothing special”.
The restaurant was overly noisy. The acoustics in there make the chatter of customers quite a din. In addition, there was music playing that, for awhile, had a thumping bass that annoyed me, and there was a group of male golfers who were yelling back and forth to each other.
Two of them decided to stand right behind me, having a loud conversation. RUDE!
The service was extremely slow. When I got my soup, no spoon was provided to me! It took about ten minutes for someone to bring me a spoon after I politely requested one! The soup was lukewarm by then, but it was delicious anyway, thankfully.
The server ignored me when I asked him where the restroom was.
I found it on my own.
The ladies’ room was clean, as was the rest of the place except for the spilled whatever-it-was on the chair at our table.
I might give this restaurant another try someday, but my friend probably will not.

服务非常慢。当我拿到汤时，没有给我提供勺子！在我礼貌地要求一把勺子后，大约十分钟才有人给我拿来！那时汤已经不冷不热了，但谢天谢地，它还是很美味。
当我问服务员洗手间在哪里时，他不理我。
我自己找到了它。
女厕所很干净，其他地方也很干净，除了我们桌子椅子上洒了东西。
