点评：I was in Sebring on Friday solo, looking for a non-franchise place to eat. I passed by Dee’s and had to turn around, it had that “good diner” look. It was a little after 9:00 am. The place was full except for 3 tables. Place is casual decor. They told me to have a seat at any empty table. They just bussed the table so they wiped the table down and took my soda order. Pretty fast so far. They took my "Big Breakfast #2" order. Two eggs over easy, two bacon strips soft, 2 sausage patties and two pancakes. Customers open tables filled quickly.
The front counter area was quite busy with people waiting to sit, checking out, getting there TOGO orders and buying behind glass bakery sweets, all these things, the responsibility of the cashier who was swamped. The wait help refilled my soda while I waited.
It took over 30 minutes for my order to arrive. The eggs were over hard, one broken. Not a biggy but def not what I ordered. The bacon was overcooked and hard but edible. The sausage patties were a little under cooked and had a mushy consistency with a whelming spice that I could not identify. I could only manage one patty; they were just disconcerting. The giant plate sized pancakes were light fluffy and cooked to perfection, butter and syrup of course on the side.
All the servers I encountered were very friendly and did a good job of keeping my soda filled and making sure everything is OK. I can’t complain to them; they are busy as hell and I did not want to spend more time waiting for food corrections.
Overall, it was not a horrible experience, it just took forever to get a disappointing plate, except for the pancakes.
All in with a tip was a little over 20 dollars.
If I return, I will just order the pancakes.
