I know, there are as many different types of cheesesteak as there are restaurants in Philly, but there is also a sort of "standard" the rest of the country has come to accept as the real Philadelphia version, and it begins and ends with the bread. Here, they have claimed, they get their rolls from Philadelphia, and whether that's the case or not, the rolls are what you would expect there. And to be clear, the standard, meat, sauteed onion and provolone are as expected as well . . . except there's about half again as much meat as expected. They could certainly put in less and still have a great sandwich. So, why only 4 stars? Well, the fries weren't really very good, and a Philly cheesesteak isn't something that takes a lot of culinary skill, so I wouldn't suggest driving more than 1/2 hour to get there. Of course, I drive a little more than 1/2 hour, but that's because I really like the "real" cheesesteak. Although there's no where else in the US you can find better fish than here in the panhandle, for much of anything else, fuhgetaboutit.
