Sweet Melissa's Cafe的点评
点评：This was a highly anticipated return to Sweet Melissa's. A reservation had been made 12 days prior on Open Table with a request for patio seating. We arrived on time and approached the hostess who did not greet us, never smiled and waited for me to state that we had a reservation and had requested an outdoor table. She immediately said the patio was full. I told her we understood that outdoor requests are first come first serve but that we were willing to wait until a table turned over. Her response was that the patio was "booked for the entire night". This made no sense to us given that she had just said that despite our request on the Open Table reservation there was no assurance that one would be seated outside , It was 6:00 so it seemed reasonable to think that a table might turn over before too long, but the hostess said that would not be an option and that indoor dining would be our only choice. That made no sense given their policy of first come first serve--we would have been next in line for outside. The hostess seemed unable to comprehend our disappointment. Within minutes after this totally frustrating experience we were able to be seated outdoors at a lovely restaurant just up the street which unlike Sweet Melissa"s was bright, clean and welcoming. I followed up with the manager at Sweet Melissa's in an attempt to understand exactly what their policy is on outdoor seating and how it was that we would not have had an opportunity to get an outdoor once there and willing to wait. That remains an unsolved mystery and our final chapter with Sweet Melissa's.
