点评:Cindy was a delightful host, but when she turned the tasting program over to who she playfully called "the King" Bob (who I assume was the owner), I was less than impressed. His idea of making himself look better was to belittle other distilleries, some specifically by name. Totally unnecessary, as this place is unique & stands on its own merit. He also tried to bully me into tasting a product I did not want, by telling me, "This is not a bar, this is a tasting. You have to taste it." Well, thanks, but no, I don't have to taste anything I don't want to taste. I get it, that the purpose of the tasting is to get the public familiar with the product so that they will purchase it, & the idea is the product sells itself because tastes that good. What I DON'T get is calling me out in a room full of people because I didn't want one particular variety of the 9 we were offered. After that, though, everything went well & we really enjoyed the place. I love that it's "farm to table" in that both the distillery & the sugar cane are right there, on premises, & the taste of the products reflects the quality of the cane. I also love that there's a really neat outside, open-air bar. But, if you go, don't think that getting the owner is a bonus. I would've preferred if Cindy had continued to do the talking.
