Convenient location but needs some updates

点评：I stayed here because it is conveniently located to the UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital. The ratings were on the lower end of Marriott standards so I knew I was taking a chance. I will say my room wasn't terrible. The bed was comfortable and my shower had good water pressure. Some improvements are warranted as you can tell its an older hotel and had some wear and tear on items.
Pros:
- Near hospital and local shops
- Pool and Hot tub
- Nice staff
- Comfy bed
- Good water pressure
- Free breakfast ( I didn't eat as I had to be at a meeting during their open times but I know they have one).
- Quiet air conditioner
- Adequate amount of parking
Cons:
- My shower smelled really bad. There were brown bits being washed off as I was taking a shower. It's almost like someone threw up in the shower and it wasn't cleaned off good because the smell was horrible and then to see the brown bits come out after I moved the shower curtain around.
- The air conditioner had to be set as low as it could go to get it to turn on. Even having it set at 67 wasn't enough to make it come on so I had to just put it all the way down and then after waiting 5 mins it turned on. It was set to cool and auto so should have been keeping room cool but it wasn't.
