点评：We wanted to get a good coffee and breakfast so we headed to this cafe as it was the closest to our hotel. Had two coffees, two croissants, and a piece of quiche. Was $49. Owner doesn't give you the detailed bill until after he has you pay. We asked as we were surprised at how high it was. He adds an obligatory 20% on the total including on the tax.
For a very average croissant - not super flaky, and tasting like they had been made the day before. There was no pricing listed on the case goods, and we were shocked to find that the plain croissant was priced at $4.95 and the other one at 5.95. This would be fine if they were of good quality. The side salad with the quiche that was full of old lettuce and cucumbers that were definitely past their prime, this was hardly a $49 breakfast.
Will be our last visit there.
As we discussed on our walk back - if it had been reasonably priced and he hadn't added the large tip - we might have considered going again for a coffee/pastry, but since we felt cheated - we'll never go again.
