点评：We have been there multiple times and we were turned off by the cast of characters that inhabited the bar at happy hour. We prefer a relaxing meal, with perhaps some polite conversation with other patrons, not rude political and cultural discourse spouted by a bunch of uninformed old men whose only apparent accomplishment in life is their ability to swill cheap beer.
Nonetheless, we went with a group of friends for dinner on a Monday, many of us veterans of the restaurant and liquor industries. It was not good.
The food, which previously we liked, is now subpar. The octopus appetizer was tough and lacked the appropriate seasoning. The bolognese sauce tasted like cheap canned tomato sauce with ground beef. Others commented that their food was just, okay. I don’t know what happened to the kitchen here, but what came out of it on a slow Monday night, was overpriced and insipid. And , it took a long time for the food to be served.
The wine list, which is extensive and good, is so overpriced that the half price bottle special, brought it down to where it should have been in the first place. We are full time residents and are used to generous markups in a restaurant industry so reliant on seasonal visitors, but this is ridiculous.
I’ve heard some uncomplimentary talk from other past patrons and previous employees of this establishment. This visit confirmed most of what was said.
