A really bad hotel
Holiday Inn & Suites Clearwater Beach S-Harbourside By IHG的点评
点评：Firstly, hotel in a great location (a 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach).
Other than that, it’s a pretty poor hotel. Staff are miserable, unprofessional and just plain rude.
Rooms were pretty basic, smell of damp in our room.
I have no idea what the $240 resort tax is for! You already pay for the room and it’s not like they particularly maintain the hotel or grounds. A small pool where half the sunbeds are broken.
Looks very tired, old, and just not worth the money.
I’m not sure if jimmy iguanas bar/restaurant is part of the hotel or an independent company but the staff there are a joke. We could regularly hear them arguing with each other. They would often stand together and make very personal comments about the customers (including us). Despite us spending an absolute fortune there and always leaving a tip. In the end we refused to go there and went elsewhere.
Would not return to this absolutely garbage hotel in a million years.
Further note: I politely asked the reception staff exactly what the extra resort tax is actually for, seeing as my room didn’t get cleaned the entire week we were there. He should shrugged his shoulders and even laughed and said “that’s a good question, I have no idea either”. He is supposedly contacting me regarding a partial refund of these extra taxes, I doubt this will happen.
