点评：La Fontanella Ristorante in Fort Myers is fantastic. Without exaggeration, it was sincerely one of the best meals my husband and I have eaten. Ever!
We were in Fort Myers for the day, and wanted to try a restaurant we've never dined at before. We had the good fortune to find La Fontanella and were able to get reservations at 5:45. Reservations are strongly recommended, since this restaurant fills up quickly.
I started with the Insalata Capricciosa, which arrived with super fresh greens, tomatoes, mozzarella and onions. It was delicious.
My husband ordered the cream of mushroom soup. He said it was fantastic.
For my entree, I had the Pollo La Fontanella. It is breast of chicken with apricots, wild mushrooms, pepitas in a brandy demi glaze sauce. It came with mashed potatoes, and I substituted broccoli for the asparagus. It was so incredible, I wanted to kiss the chef.
My husband had the Linguini Pescatore with seafood and tomatoes in a red sauce. He said the seafood was very fresh and the meal was delectable.
We ended the meal with the tartufo, one of our favorite desserts but rarely offered in Italian restaurants in Florida.
Our server Nicki was excellent. She was very professional and personable.
The owners and Chef take tremendous pride in the quality/freshness of the food and the preparation.
Also, every time we go out to a restaurant, I am always judging the cleanliness of the place. La Fontanella is immaculate. The bathroom was exceptionally clean, which to me is the litmus test of how clean the kitchen will be.
They also have the original La Fontanella Ristorante in Bonita Springs, FL.
Believe me when I say, La Fontanella will spoil you for all other Italian restaurants. They are by far the best, above and beyond of any Italian restaurant we have dined at in Florida.
