点评:Great décor and cool vibe in this New Orleans inspired eatery. Arrived around 6:45 on a Thursday night, restaurant wasn’t very busy. Our server, Greg, was very friendly and gave us some great suggestions on the menu all while making us feel welcomed. We started with the gator tail appetizer. The gator was small pieces of heavily breaded gator. The flavor and spiciness were both good but the pieces were tiny and had too much breading (in my opinion). The entrees we had were the Thursday prime rib special, the chicken and waffles and the jambalaya. The prime rib was seasoned well and had a nice crust. It was served at the temperature requested with a jus. It was warm and tasted good. The jambalaya was served in a small personal-sized dutch oven. It had shrimp, chicken, Andouille sausage, okra and tomatoes. It was sell seasoned and not overly spicy. The portion size was a little on the small side, but the meal had good flavor and was well prepared. The chicken and waffles was the highlight for me. The waffles were small, slightly sweet cornbread waffles which I would have liked more of. The chicken was a hearty portion of nicely seasoned, fried chicken that was crispy and not too greasy. The maple syrup that accompanied this dish was fantastic. Overall it was a good meal and certainly something a little different. The interaction with Greg was enjoyable and he definitely added to the evening’s enjoyment. I would return based on this visit and happily ask for Greg as our server, I would try a few different items just to see how they compare.
