点评：I've lived here for 20 years and I can say without reservation our lunch at Bitter Root was the worst meal in a restaurant on the Emerald Coast I have ever eaten. Since we had heard good reviews from patrons of Bitter Root we were shocked at the utterly poor meal my wife and I had for lunch, it had to be a substitute cook (not the regular chef).
My wife had tea (cloudy and stale) with her Curried Chicken Salad (bad mayo too much and thick, dark chicken, curry mixed with mayo and flavor lost, almond, cherry, and celery MIA, replaced bread for Croissant was stale, the entire meal was hardly edible. Ordinary Kettle Chips was the high point.
I had the Wagyu Burger with mushrooms, caramelized onions, cheese, mayo mustard, and a side of fries that wouldn't pass muster at any national burger chain. The burger was a greasy soggy mess with a congealed glob of caramelized onions with no trace of mushrooms or cheese.
We will never know if our experience was a "one-off" moment because we will never return.
