点评:Dined in at Firefly, where Alfredo's used to be in the Walmart center on Griffin and Flamingo. Short story: Two thumbs up for sure. Long story: We got to speak at length with Sam, the new owner and a few of the staff, all very friendly, helpful and informative. Alfredo gave them his secrets and showed them how he cooks his food, and buddy, the food we had was great. Did not get pizza yet, which was our constant go-to with Alfredo but a number of folks did pizza takeout. We will soon. Menu prices very reasonable and it's mostly Italian (or Italian fusion) but ... Sam is Sri Lankan and will be adding some of his food into the offering as time goes by. My wife had Jerk Chicken Penne and if you crave spicy, as in Scotch Bonnet spicy (that's what they use), that dish is for you. It was excellent-tasting but a little overwhelming for Sheri and she told Sam when he asked. He insisted, over objections, to make her a replacement chicken alfredo dish and it was outstanding. We ended up taking both home. The pasta portion is large, 7 ounces a full plate, and done to perfection with a little tooth to it. The lasagna was made to order, not scooped out of a large container that sits around and was excellent. I added two perfect garlic rolls and a superb tomato bisque soup for two bucks more. They have only been open four days so some things to work out but we were truly impressed on every level. Your graciousness and patience will be returned to you two-fold. Tablecloths, square china dishes, nice silverware, decorative fun "firefly" lights, a big transformation. Well done.
Went back in less than two weeks, had the amazing homemade lasagna again, even better, and my wife had vegetable fried rice, also excellent and perfectly done. The big treat was the traditional Christmas Cake, a treat from Sri Lanka. If you are there before Christmas, be sure to ask for it.
