点评:It was difficult to choose a rating for our recent trip to the Bonefish Grill in Brooksville because some things were OK and some were not. We went at noon but ordered dinner entrees because this was to be our big meal of the day. I ordered the snow crab legs, which were advertised as a special for $24.50 and my husband ordered the mahi and shrimp combo at a similar price. Each came with a choice of 2 sides; I ordered jasmine rice and the seasonal vegetable, which was broccoli, and my husband ordered the same rice but with coleslaw.
The room was cold on a chilly, breezy day and didn't warm up much while we were there. This made us uncomfortable and the food got cold quickly. We sat in the room away from the bar and it is nicely decorated with modern decor and very clean. The music played was rather upbeat for dining but it wasn't distracting or too loud for conversation.
The young man who served as host was friendly and seated us promptly as the place was nearly empty (perhaps this should have been a cue?) We do wish management would train young people in their employ to reply to guests who say "thank you" with "you're welcome", not "no problem", which this young man used several time. Sounds so teenager-ish - and why should there be any problem when someone says "thank you"? A pet peeve of ours. Waitress Julie was pleasant and efficient.
The food: My husband liked his mahi and shrimp. His only comment was that the menu said it was "lightly dusted" with herbs but his was covered and nearly black with seasonings. He did say the flavor was good. My snow crabs legs were the real problem - so overcooked as to come out of the shells in dry shreds rather than nice succulent pieces. We wondered if they were leftover from the night before and reheated. Impossible to get anything out of the shells but little wisps of dry crab. Lots of work for no crab meat. Both my husband and I felt the little ice-cream-size scoop of jasmine rice was rather tasteless and it was somewhat crunchy, not fully cooked. The broccoli was so overdone that it was mushy and was not eaten. The coleslaw was good, fresh and plentiful, so we shared that. I left feeling hungry after a $60+ lunch.
Don't think we'll bother to make the 20 minute drive to go back. There are too many other choices in the area. Management really needs to take notice of the many negative reviews here (wish I'd read them first!) and do something about what's going on in the kitchen. Restaurant was less than 1/3 full on a Saturday afternoon when the local roads and shopping areas were full.
