M&M Thai Restaurant的点评
点评：Food is pretty good, but our server dominated out impression of this restaurant.
She lacked energy, talked in a whisper we stained to hear, asked if we needed more time to check out the menu and when told yes, continued to just stand there with pen poised on pad.
She spilled our Pho when putting it on the table, yet said nothing. Told her we'd be splitting all the dishes and would need additional plates and bowl, yet she asked if we needed additional plates and bowl when bringing us the food. Never brought the fork requested. Never introduced herself or welcomed us despite being told it was our first time there. Totally lifeless and devoid of personality.
Recommend the owners/managers eat at Mellow Mushroom in Knoxville to learn how servers ought to conduct themselves.
Sadly, the server headlines all discussions of our experience with this restaurant when talking to friends.
Now, on to the food:
While I found the Yaum Salad lacking (no lettuce; I thought the menu described items added to lettuce or mixed greens... my ignorance.), my wife liked it, so that's personal taste/ preference.
We both liked the Vegan Combo Fried Rice, though there was too little of it; and both of us thought the Vegan Combo Pho was excellent. If we return, it will be solely to enjoy the Pho again.
PS. Management would do customers a service by identifying the gravel/grass area across the side street as their "parking lot". The"dining room" is drab and dreary, and would Benicio from a fresh coat of paint.
Overall impression is a restaurant focused on food, but oblivious to, or uncaring about, all the other aspects of their customers' dining experience.
