点评：Good value for $10.95 Lunch specials - includes tandoori chicken!
comes with:
* dahl soup
* nicely seasoned chopped salad plate
* basmati rice
* Naan - puffy, light seasoning and charred
* onion chutney (not too hot)
* Main dish - about 10 items
* Small serving of curry gravy (for the rice) - I used my soup over half the rice as well..
Around the table of 6:
The tandoori chicken - moist and nicely charred. Almost half a small chicken minus the wing.
Eggplant - liked by that person
Curry dishes - good
Everyone was happy. For the non-tandoor dishes, all were asked about the seasoning heat. I ordered the ras malai (desert) and it was excellent and fresh. One serving is shareable since it's rich.
Some things I think they should do:
1) for the tandoori chicken, where's the grilled onion and lemon slice?
2) for a separate order of papadum, where's the tamarind dipping sauce and maybe an 3rd papadum ($2)
3) it would be nice not to have to order sauces as extras. Put a little cup of raita on the salad plate. If one person doesn't want it, the others at the table will. Tamarind sauce is cheap to make.
Service: Efficient and quiet.
Parking: On the south side of the building.
Size: Several seating areas that can accommodate large groups.
Ambiance: Very Indian
They didn't offer us the main menu - I guess they assumed that we were there for lunch. I considered ordering the chicken korma, but wasn't sure it came with the soup, etc.
Dinner prices are reasonable.
Separate checks? Ask for that at the beginning.
$32 lunch for two (no drinks) extra for papadum and ras malai
