点评:Years ago we dined here when it was called The Green Room. While the current restaurant - Le Cavalier - resides in the same elegant wood-paneled setting, the experience was a great disappointment and a far cry from its glory days. Our group started out with a seemingly long wait for brunch cocktails to be served. Different brunch offerings were tried by our group with several opting for eggs benedict. An aleppo choron sauce may be a fitting addition to a poultry or other meat entree, however, it does little for eggs benedict especially when you have to search to find the sauce. The piece of ham on each half of the muffin was so small you could not see it under the egg. Serving temperature was lukewarm at best. Another member of the party had the smoked salmon tartine and found the substitution of sourdough bread for a bagel uninspiring. In addition to the mediocre food offerings, the "music" offered over the top of the already noisy dining room - due to several loud tables of guests and all of the hard surface wood paneling - was close to unbearable. Impossible to carry on any decent conversation with dining partners. Future guests to this establishment should be aware that the current "discounted" valet parking charge for dining room guests is $15 and the restaurant adds a 3% surcharge for its "sustainability" efforts. Sadly, we won't be returning to what was a premier dining spot in Wilmington.
