点评:I used to love Salt Air. Came here quite a lot. Food was creative and menu had good range. Service was friendly. Drinks were always fun. Went back after acquisition. Where the heck are the Anson Mill Grits? What happened to your deep fry shrimp (now a mushy affair)?! Drinks were lackluster and uninspired. The chef has departed. The lovely chicken breast is now paired with a verde sauce that makes no sense. The crab dip was an overly browned if not almost burnt mayo affair with maybe a quarter teaspoon of crab perched on top. They at least kept the good crackers and the deviled eggs were flavorful. Service seemed downtrodden. I will never understand why companies acquire a successful restaurant with cuisine that makes you want to return only to “revise” it and destroy it. The place was successful for a reason. We paid and were glad to go. Won’t be coming back and won’t be encouraging my friends to come here. The place was a profound disappointment. If you want mushy and disjointed cuisine, this is the menu for you.
