点评：This is your classic burger joint from the 50's and 60's - checkered decor, a fresh fast food menu, and greasy (very greasy) offerings. The menu consists of typical burger options and sandwiches and sides like fries and onion rings. Milk shakes, floats, and soda round out the drink selection. There is also an attempt to elevate the menu beyond that of decades ago. You can now have sweet potato fries, bacon cheese fries, faux meat burgers, and an array of salads.
Our party opted for burgers and several sides of regular fries, bacon/cheese fries, onion rings, and sweet potato fries. A couple of sodas and root beer floats finished our order (take advantage of the free refills on the sodas and ask for a "to go" cup on the last refill).
We asked for our sides early and they were served piping hot out of the fryer and oven. A lot of flavor but also a lot of fryer oil still coating everything. The burgers followed and were literally dripping with grease when you picked them up. There was a nice crustiness to the patties having been cooked on the flat top; but, the excess grease was quite off putting. The toppings were fresh and plentiful and the rolls substantial enough to hold up to everything (including the grease). This was our first time here, so its hard to say whether this is the typical experience. Had the grease been better controlled, I would have found this to be a better than average meal; as is, it was only average.
I love burgers and will try this location again hoping that it can rise to above average.
