点评：We were at South Bay in New Haven on Friday. I was surprised that the place was not crowded. Many people were dining outside since it was such a pleasant day, but the waitress found us a nice quiet place upstairs. We asked her to turn the music down, which they graciously did. The service was polite and prompt, but not intrusive. My wife ordered the paella, and I tried the chicken scarpariella, along with a Mediterranean arugula salad. It was all very, very good. My wife loved the paella, which was redolent of saffron. My chicken dish was a bit spicier than I was expecting, but was excellent--chicken with pickled hot peppers and spinach with a delicious sauce, served over mashed potatoes. It was an unusual and creative combination, and I ate all of it. The portions were ample but not ridiculous; my wife took the rest of the paella home for lunch the next day. For dessert, my wife had the orange creme brulee, and she did not leave any of it behind. The prices are a bit steep but the meal was worth it.
