Mix Rooftop Restaurant & Bar的点评
点评：In our corner of the world, we are blessed to have a number of wonderful opportunities to dine out for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. My wife and I had made friends with a wonderful couple and decided to take them to a spot they had never been to before. Mix Rooftop Restaurant and Bar. I have to confess that it had been a while since we had been there and after we returned I found myself asking why I wasn't eating there every week. It was simply spectacular. We learned that the owner had won "Best Baker in America" a few years ago on the Food Network but it was obvious to us that he has a deeper skill set than just baking. As the name implies, Mix is on the roof of the award winning bakery SIFT but as the old saying goes..."it ain't just baked goods." The menu can best be described as exciting. I mean where do you begin? Of course the bread basket was amazing but the Crispy Pork Ribs were out of this world, the Hazelnut Crusted Goat Cheese was heavenly, I can't forget the roasted oysters...so fresh, and finally, my favorite the seared tuna. I could go on but I hope you get the idea. Come hungry and be ready to be amazed. One of the things that I appreciated was feeling that we and our friends were special guests...even though we weren't. Michaela, our server was absolutely wonderful and made our incredible experience ever more special. Finally, I should mention that the cocktail menu was on a par with the dinner menu...wonderful. With all of this said, it's pretty good advice to make reservations as we did. The staff really is incredible. Very guest focused in a way that suggests they are committed to you having a wonderful dining experience or drinking experience if you choose to just enjoy the Roof Top view of the Mystic River and an amazing cocktail or two...or three.
