点评：My wife and I have been going frequently for dinner to Osteria Romana in Monroe since it opened a number of years ago. Every time we have gone there, our meals have been outstanding. And that was certainly the case when we went there again for dinner recently. That's no surprise, as Osteria has one of the best head chefs you could ever find in Jamie. He's a great guy, and will come out to greet the customers, when he has the opportunity. Owners Maurizio and Graziano are terrific as well. If you are fortunate, you may get to meet Maurizio, as he is there from time to time.
We started out with salads. I had the Mango Matto and my wife had the Caprese Di Bufala. Both were presented beautifully, and were fresh and delicious. Osteria is always great when it comes to the details. I have a penchant to order extras. For example, I ordered extra dressing, and it came with the salad. It may seem like a small point, but it's important to me, and many restaurants don't get it right.
For our entrees, I had the Sole Piccata. The fish came piping hot and was fresh and delicious. It came with roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables, which were also hot and delicious. My entree also came with the extra lemons I ordered. Again, attention to detail. My wife ordered a pasta special. It was outstanding as well.
We highly recommend Osteria Romana. It is the best restaurant in the area by a wide margin. The mark of a really great restaurant is consistency of excellence, and Osteria has achieved and maintained that standard for many years. When you are there, we recommend that you ask for either Adrian or Ron as your server. They are both wonderful servers.
