点评：After living in Greenwich, Connecticut for 25 years and trying out most of the restaurants, I was skeptical that I would find a new place that served fresh, quality, and tasty food. I have grown weary of restaurants that target consumers with loads of money but have little global dining experience. Paying more does not guarantee quality or taste.
However, I was pleasantly surprised when I dined at The Cottage, located at 49 Greenwich Avenue. The Cottage offers a new and exciting menu influenced by kitchens from around the world.
What stood out to me about The Cottage was their commitment to using farm-to-table ingredients. They source from artisan farmers and growers in our region, and you can absolutely taste the difference!
The cocktails were also excellent. I had their signature Spicy Pear, which was light, unique, and refreshing. We also enjoyed the Albariño Etiqueta Verde.
For our appetizers, we loved the Spicy Scallop Tartare and the Cottage Salad. Both dishes were perfectly presented and they were just the right portion size. If you're looking to fill up, this may not be the venue for you. Think French.
The Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle was light and full of flavor. I loved the texture of the mushrooms and the light sauce. My husband had the lobster, which was fresh and delicious.
We also enjoyed an espresso to finish our meal.
The staff was very friendly and neatly dressed. We arrived early, and by 5:30, most of the tables were full. I would recommend making reservations. We're looking forward to going back!
