点评:What a pleasant surprise walking into Twenty One Steak. The interior, decoration and atmosphere could've been in Chicago, New York, Madrid or Buenos Aires. I had a late reservation at 7:30pm and the place was full but not loud. Obviously the word is out. Large with large brick archways and and slightly dark, it sets the mood. I smiled when I looked at the menu, because each seat is perfectly situated under a light without making it too dark but easy to read. The menu is generous without too many offerings. The service was personable and always available--never found myself waiting to get someone's attention. The food is truly world class. I'm often reluctant to order a steak because like many, I find I can prepare it better myself. I couldn't have been more wrong at Twenty One. I had a Ribeye--medium rare. Thick and a fantastic char but pink and juicy in the middle. I've eaten at Peter Lugar's in NYC and Twenty One is better--by a long shot. The sides were fantastic. Perfectly grilled asparagus with just a little snap left. Their mashed potatoes are literally the best I've ever had (sorry Grandma). I splurged and had a shrimp cocktail (in Pueblo Colorado no less) and the shrimp were large and flavorful. This is a great place and well worth stopping for. You won't be sorry.
