点评：I visited Jabo’s BBQ for the first time this week based on TA reviews. I wish I would have found Jabo’s BBQ a long time ago.
The atmosphere is comfortable and airy. Currently, they have dividers up between tables, which I assume is COVID related. I was glad to see this step had been taken and continues, despite lower numbers. The staff was more than welcoming and friendly. We were greeted by Cassie who was very nice and helpful. Susan, Jabo’s wife, followed up and made us feel completely at home. It felt more like I was at the home of a family friend who loved to cook and try new recipes. As it was our first time visiting, we were given a sampler of like 6 different BBQ sauces to try. Every sauce was delicious, especially the Smoky Vinegar Based sauce. Most had very distinctive and some unexpected flavors. Menu options are plentiful, with A la Carte options as well as Lunch and Dinner menus, along with sides and sauces.
After really enjoying the Onion Rings appetizer, my buddy chose the Rib Tip lunch with Baked Beans on the side. I opted for the ½ lb Polish, which was served on a Hoagie type bun. We also ordered the ½ lb Mac & Cheese to split as a side. Food delivery was speedy enough and portions were large! The Baked Beans had a distinctive and delicious flavor as did the Mac & Cheese. The Mac & Cheese ½ lb was a good size for 2 people to split as an extra side. The flavor of the Polish was great and the addition of Yellow Mustard and the Hot Vinegar based sauce was absolutely fantastic! I was only able to do half the Polish and brought the rest home for dinner. The Sconut was the perfect dessert.
Overall service was beyond expectation. Susan made a point to tell us about the different sauces and said they strive to make sure customers get the flavor and heat they’re looking for, with the ability to mix and match. The food was delicious and definitely better than the BBQ chains in the area. Price for all that for 2 of us was $52. This is about the same as other chains in the area, but far greater quality and quantity. At check-out, we even got to meet Mr. Jabo himself. He was very friendly and obviously focused on making sure we enjoyed the food and the experience. Lunch was today at Jabo’s and I’ve already recommended the place to at least 3 different people. I will be returning to Jabo’s when possible and highly recommend it.
