点评：The James M Robb Colorado River State Park is a chain of five separate parks along the Colorado River. This review is for Island Acres east of Palasade. Only Island Acres and the James M. Robb Colorado River State Park near Fruita has camping. The other James M. Robb state parks are Corn Lake, Colorado River Wildlife and Connected Lakes.
We had site 13A – electricity only. I had reserved a spot that looked like we were by the Colorado River. FYI – there are no sites by the Colorado River at this park, nor can you see the Colorado river from your campsite. You have to walk up a slight bluff to be able to see the river and then it is probably 10 feet below you. There is a nice walking trail on this bluff. Water was moving very fast when we were there and would have been dangerous for anyone. It is a very lovely camp ground with 80 sites. It covers quite a large area. Some with electricity, water and sewer. Minimal trees. Very well taken care of. Good distance between campsites. Close to I-70 highway but we did not find it a distraction. There are a few short hiking trails in the camping area. Very nice bathrooms. Has showers and a washer and dryer room. There are 4 small ponds one has a nice beach area. Also, a picnic area. Right across the highway is a full-service gas station with the same prices that are in Palisades or Grand Junction. Would definitely go back!!! Went into Palisades which is about 5 miles from the campsite.
