My wife and I had oysters on the half-shell bathed in a most delicious sauce, mixed mushrooms quite divine on their own or accompanying other dishes. Wife's main was whole bass, mine was duck breast, and both were superb. Desserts were the only dishes that merited good but not great. But now the check arrives: $323 with all taxes and fees but not tip (which we made $75 owing to excellent service and knowledge of the menu). That totals nearly $400; understandably excessive for many diners, but in my estimation worth every penny. So if you've got the bucks and a taste for the best of the best, The Regular deserves your patronage.
