Bread Savage的点评
点评：In California for business meetings, first here in Visalia then off to San Francisco. As many of you (who have read my posts) know I love to stop along the way in my travels.
Today after a nice post meeting walk on Main Street, I saw the "Bread Savage" street sandwich board...You know what happens next.
It is the bakery version of ipso facto.
The interior may be appear sparse in furniture, but look at it as you have privacy amongst a room of people. Close enough to feel the vibe, private enough to enjoy a conversation, or the simple enjoyment of a coffee.
The glass display cases proffered views of homemade deliciousness. From a Turkey & Gruyère on a baguette, to Raspberry crumble muffins, to Brownies, the choice took a moment. Have you ever been stuck knowing that any of the choices are going to be the best one? Yep, feelin' me now?
Chose the Raspberry muffin, and a drip coffee.
My review:
The coffee was "oh my mmmmm" good. Deep, rich and hot. (aka - Sorry Starbucks which is right next door, Bread Savage wins...grinds down!)
The Raspberry Crumble Muffin...as mentioned earlier, this was the best choice. Fresh, light and a surprise pocket of raspberry jam inside. (regrets on not buying one for breakfast tomorrow).
As I thanked the owner, as if by magic, fresh, warm cookies shone from the case.
Took longer for me to step to the till than it did for the cookies to be in a to-go bag.
Since this is bit of a cathartic app, I will admit, I was unable to restrain, and I ate the cookies on the walk back to my hotel.
My offer to the readers of this review: order one more...of everything you choose.
