The Tea House On Los Rios的点评
点评：I was having high a terrible high tea experience and I overheard another table mention this place and I immediately looked it up and made reservations on the spot.
I am so happy I overheard the other table because I really enjoyed my visit here. The establishment is located conveniently located near the Metrolink. Thankfully, my reservations were in the morning so I was able to park in their parking lot (there's parking behind the park) and it wasn't too busy which was nice. I sat in the back and Calvin helped me out.
For high tea I had The Victorian Tea which consists of 6 courses along with your tea of choice. Each tea is served in its own tea pot.
For tea I had Buckingham Palace Garden Party - It is a blend of green and black tea with hints of Jasmine. This was stronger than I had anticipated, but I still enjoyed it. For my next visit I will definitely get something green tea based.
1. PASSION FRUIT MIMOSA - was topped with edible flowers and fresh cut strawberries. Delicious and perfect to have in between bites of the sandwich and desserts.
2. HEART SHAPED SCONE - scone was a very hefty size served with raspberry preserve and clotted cream. Eat half of the scone to make room for the rest of the goodies coming.
3. ZUCCHINI SOUP - this is cream based and absolutely so good.
4. GARDEN SALAD - I had salad with strawberry vinaigrette. The salad was fresh and topped with a lavender from their garden.
5. SIX TEA SANDWICHES WITH FRESH FRUIT - I know a lot of food already!! The cup of fruit is in the center of the plant and the sandwiches are around it. Calvin explained the different sandwiches. Of the six I really liked the cucumber and the one topped with honey and nuts. Brown sugar is sprinkled on top of the fresh fruit and then poured with milk (from the tea) and it becomes candied fruit. So good.
You think tea service is over and it's not over yet!!
6. DESSERT - I had brownie served with edible gold flakes which was delectable.
I really enjoyed my visit here so much! It was such a great tea experience and I already made reservations for my next visit.
If you are not up for tea they have a brunch menu, but if I come here I am definitely getting tea. If you are with a group of people the entire table doesn't have to get tea service or get food from their regular menu.
