点评：Docent Brewing is hidden in an industrial area, and it is located in a warehouse. Since it was winter and nighttime the outdoor seating was useless. Inside a door to the beer brewing area had been left open so the restaurant/warehouse, seemingly unheated, was freezing. Let’s just say we were glad we had thick jackets on. Seating at tables was minimal consisting of a long communal table downstairs and another upstairs. Also there was a bar with stools and an area with a couple sofas. They should rethink their seating to take advantage of the space.
The menu is pretty limited with some offerings only being available on certain days of the week. My husband had a chicken sandwich which contained two small pieces of chicken on a burnt hamburger bun. He chose potato salad as a side which was about two tablespoons in a tiny paper cup. He left hungry. My Chinese chicken salad tasted good but the ingredient variety was minimal. Our beers were tasty.
Upstairs was a game area with another eating bench table which was warmer (Heat rises!)
All in all we weren’t terribly impressed. Might give it one last try on a warmer day for the outdoor seating. They also have a San Clemente branch with a nicer atmosphere. Maybe that’s a possibility
