Perfect hotel base for St. Helena adventures

点评：Wife and I had a delightful long weekend at Southbridge.
I’d reserved a Deluxe Room, King Bed, Courtyard view and was assigned Room #17. Second floor. The room has windows opening onto the courtyard and out onto Main Street. With the windows opened it’s a little noisy with street noise, but I was pleasantly surprised at how quite it was with the windows closed.
Room was quite spacious with everything you might need. Drinking water and a couple apples were left for our arrival. The room has a wood-burning fireplace and upon request they left us a Duraflame log in the room. (no charge)
You have full access to the Spa & Healthclub next door. Very nice clean club, with full gym equipment, lap pool, hot tub, locker rooms, with a steam room. (Steam rooms are located in the locker rooms, so no co-ed steam with the wife)
The people at the hotel were very friendly. We didn’t need to ask for much, but any questions/requests were quickly addressed.
Breakfast setup is cool. You fill out a sheet of paper each night with your order, list a time for delivery, and drop it off at the front desk the night before. Standard continental breakfast options. The breads (Croissant, muffin, scone) were quite tasty. The small pot of coffee was appreciated too.
The place is centrally located on the south side of town. Across grom Gotts with a few restaurants and wineries within walking distance. Upon check-in you get a voucher for two free tastings at Merryvale winery which is across the parking lot.
We will definitely return next time we’re looking for a romantic weekend in St. Helena.
