Fern Canyon的点评
点评：I was poking around the Redwood NPS website and saw that the Fern Canyon reservations had opened for the day we were going to be in the park and snagged us one. I was very excited about this opportunity.
The drive out and back was very adventurous. We had a rented Subaru and it was fine. We parked, used the restroom, and headed towards the canyon. The first thing we came to was a herd of Elk. It was amazing. There was a buck up on a hill watching over the herd. The pictures that we managed to get are amazing.
Once we made it to the canyon, we walked the length of it and took so many pictures. We were well behind the group in front of us and let them get far ahead so we could get photos with nobody in them. It's beautiful. The mini waterfalls that come off the canyon along the ferns were probably my favorite thing to see in the canyon.
We followed the trail through the canyon and up the stairs to the return trail along the top, which was pretty awesome in its on right. That trail comes down steps to the entrance of the canyon and made a really amazing loop to see.
As we headed back to the car, the elk had moved on, but we did find a Banana Slug on a tree! We were hoping to run across one and had kept our eyes peeled along the canyon. We had an excellent couple of hours there. Very highly recommended.
