点评:Living in this West LA neighborhood where there is no shortage of restaurants I wanted something new and different. Peruvian cuisine is hard to come by, so that was a draw.
I ordered the chicharron de paiche appetizer. Was not expecting anything special because while I like chicharron (when I can get them) the dry and crunchy rinds are usually a sort of snack you'd get like you'd get chips and salsa. Rosaline's were meaty and moist and just slightly crispy, made to be eaten by fork and not hand. I don't know how they prepare them this way but they were the best, and came on a tasty little bed of sauce.
My entree was Arroz Con Pollo, a dish common to Mexico and and South America, with a Spanish influence. The chicken, slow-roasted indeed, arrived plump and juicy. Like the appetizer there was a delicious rather creamy sauce whose ingredients I neglected to ask about. What really made it was the rice. Made with cilantro it was green, moist though not sticky, and nicely seasoned.
Service - A+. Julia was working the bar. Besides delightful she was both knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food, and ready with helpful suggestions.
Would like to return with some friends as the menu includes many entrees for "La Familia" that I look forward to trying.
服务 - A +。
